STREET CHILDREN

Street children have become a common sight in every city. Who are the street children? Children who live in streets are known as street children. They do not have permanent shelters and a particular way of living. They do not have a chance for their school education. Some children are orphans. There is none to look them after. Therefore, they become very aggressive and they tend to do various dangerous acts like addicting to drugs and dealing with thefts.

Indeed, what would be the future of street children? Usually they grow up with many mental and physical problems. There is none to assist them in their hour of need. Even though some of them have got their parents they do not pay their attention towards children due to various reasons. These children have been neglected by everyone. As these children are not getting the systematic, formal education, they are unable to get good jobs in society. As a result of this, they tend to do various odd jobs to find their way of living. Unless the government takes an immediate action to solve the problems of street children, they may grow up with many psychilogical problems and this fraction of the society would be a great menace to the entire society.

Every child has a right for education. But street children are deprived of their rights for education. The government has to play a vital role regarding street children. They must be given equal opportunities for getting the systematic school education. Otherwise, one day they must find fault with the government and may engage in anti-social deeds. Therefore, the authority must plan a suitable project to uplift the standard of living of street children.
