ROLE OF THE                     WOMEN

Role of the traditional women has changed a lot in the present society. In the past, the women was confined only to household chores. Her duty was looking after children and household matters like washing, cooking, helping etc.

With the fast change of society, the woman is no longer confined to the above duties. The door of the education were opened to the women in the 19th century. With this change woman were able to have an access to their higher education. Those who learnt well got a chance to work in both private and public sector. As women got employments, they had to go out to work. Therefore, she could gain freedom without being confined to work. He needs changed a lot in many ways. In the present society ther are many dual worker families. Threrfore even the husband has to do some amount of work at home. Husbands must shoulder the burden of duties at home. Then only a balanced family relationship can be created. Looking after children, cooking and washing are no longer sole duties of the woman. Such responsibilities must be shared by both male and females equally.

These days, there is a great freedom for women in the society. Their thoughts, customs and behavior patterns have changed a lot in many ways. In a developing country certainly, there should be such chsnges in all respects because in this universal village no one can be away from the constant changes of the world.
